COVID-19 : Latest news from Paysanne Gelato

To the Paysanne Gelato community,

We hope this finds each of you and your loved ones doing well despite the challenges we currently face. In light of the recent COVID-19 government announcements, we wanted to reach out to update you on the impact on our safety measures, our business and our community.

First, in order that we may stand in solidarity with our friends and neighbours in the battle to stop the spread of the virus, we have decided to extend the closure of our locations until further notice. We will continue to support our employees, respecting the social distancing measures advised for our health and the health of our loved ones.

Furthermore, we would like to reassure those who may be worried about the impact of the crisis on the future of Paysanne Gelato. Rest assured that this local company, established more than 30 years ago, is built on very solid financial and human foundations. Paysanne Gelato is more than just a business. It is a family that stands together, with the most dedicated employees, the most exceptional suppliers and partners, and the most loyal customers.

So even while we temporarily close the doors of our locations, please know that we are still hard at work on the projects that filled us with excitement before this change in circumstances, and we look forward to sharing them with you. We continue to be there to answer your questions and will be ready to offer moments of pure pleasure just as soon as we can.

To the Paysanne Gelato community,

Unprecedented times call for unprecedented measures. In solidarity with people across Québec and the rest of the world, Paysanne Gelato has decided to voluntarily and temporarily close all points of sale until March 30th to reduce risk to you, your families and the general public. This decision will be reassessed regularly in light of any new developments, but rest assured that the safety and health of our employees and customers will always be our top priority.

We will do everything in our power to support our employees during this unpredictable period, and we continue to be available to offer our support and answer any questions. The decision to close was not an easy one, but we believe that we have a responsibility to do everything we can to help slow the spread of this virus.

To all of you working on the front lines of essential services, we thank you from the bottoms of our hearts.

To everyone else, take good care of yourselves and your loved ones during this difficult time.
